What is a +Acumen Lab?
+Acumen Labs are volunteer-led events bringing together like-minded communities to engage in a collaborative learning experience. Lab Leaders take the reins in making these events happen. Using tools and guides from +Acumen, Lab Leaders take the lead in facilitating a 2 hour Lab that will give participants a taste of the full online course, and they add in their own creativity and knowledge of their local communitites.
Social Entrepreneurship 101
This Lab will feature the +Acumen Course, Social Entrepreneurship 101 and will be hands-on introduction to the world of social entrepreneurship. The guided discussion will explore the question of what is social entrepreneurship and an activity will lead participants toward discovering a concrete way to contribute to a social enterprise, or even start to build their own.
How it works
Show up ready to learn, participate, and discuss! The +Acumen Labs were designed to be a collaboration of the community, so everyone is asked to contribute in a small way to creating the event together. As a participant, we ask that you please bring your own learning supplies. This includes pens / pencils and either post-it notes or paper to write on. Lab Leaders will provide the content and additional learning materials.
